An Arizonan at heart, I left my beautiful desert to move to the mountains of Salt Lake City for love and grad school.
I live and work in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. My interests are primarily on historic preservation, the intersection of LGBT and Mormon issues as well as local politics and community building. I grew up Mormon with Utah roots. I was a Mormon missionary in Russia for two years. I think about that part of me a lot and it’s one of the reasons I write about Mormons, especially topics related to Mormon history. I consider myself an activist.
I’m working on my masters in history at the University of Utah.
I published my first book with Arcadia Publishing titled Downtown Phoenix.
In no particular order I like southwest American history, I like good art and interesting people. I lived in Russia for 2.5 years and speak Russian.
Whiskey is my favorite of the dark liquors.
I have two beagles, Beau and Lacey.

Glad you like it too.
Did you know you are listed as the first, second and third entries on Google! How exciting! Also, you ought to start paying Eric S. for totally stealing things that he says, like Rwanda or Detroit.
Your new picture looks like a mug shot.
